Schools Collaborating

Mother Teresa & St. Luke Apps Project

Thanks to the Ottawa Network for Education, and its TechU.me mentorship project, computer programming students in grade 10 at Mother Teresa High School will be designing educationl applications for grade 3 students in nearby St. Luke Elementary School.

The partnership between the two schools will begin with imaginative suggestions for apps on tablet computers by the St. Luke elementary age students.  With assistance from actual computer programmers, the grade 10 students from Mother Teresa High School will then design the apps.

This innovative project represents the very best in experiential learning opportunities for students from both schools.

St. Joseph H S Students Assist St. Emily Students

Although the opening of the new south Barrhaven Catholic school in September 2013 will bring much needed relief to the population explosion currently taking place at St. Emily Elementary School in Barrhaven, creative solutions were needed to help ensure a safe and comfortable school environment at St. Emily this year.
